Family Session Guide
We are the Brauns. Our family’s story began over 15 years ago. We have four kids that mean that absolute world to us. Our home is full of grace and laughter, game nights and cookie making. We say “yes” more than we say “no”, especially when it comes to ice cream. Life has been full of ups and downs but our faith and family are our cornerstone of it all.
We’ve been photographers for over twelve years. We have been invited into some of the most precious moments of life, from delivery rooms, to living rooms, to wedding ceremonies. Our goal is to capture the special moments between you and your loved ones, to have fun, laugh a lot and make some beautiful memories along the way. Whether your family is running through fields, jumping on the couch, eating ice cream on the curb, or baking cookies in your kitchen.

Family means a lot of different things to people. To us it’s those you love dearly, who are in it together with you, through it all. Being parents of 4 kids, we know that time flies, and sometimes so do the snacks. You may try to slow things down, but at the end of the day you think, “where did the time go?” Toys don’t stay put, clothes don’t stay clean, and littles don’t stay little. But in the mess and in the chaos, there are amazing little moments happening. We want to step into those moments and help you re-live them for years to come.
Our goal is to capture your family for who you are today. We want to slow down life for a moment and capture the memories being made right now. We want our sessions to reflect your family, being with people they love, doing the thing that makes you all come alive. We will work together to plan the perfect session for your family!

Life moves quickly and everyone grows, both inside and out. Every moment seems to be fleeting, life flying by before our eyes. We desire to remember those first smiles; the days when those first steps move into running.
Over the years, we have collected keepsakes in a special box uniquely dedicated to our family. It’s not always on display, but when our kids sit down and snuggle with us, and we open this box, time seems to slow down. We all love to relive special moments and milestones together, and enjoy the ways we’ve grown as a family.

Our hope is that your personalized walnut box is a special place for you to keep your own memories. We include a few prints with every session, sized perfectly for your Heirloom Box. When you open it up you can take a deep breath, smile, laugh, and remember every moment.

Full Session
These sessions can be done at the location of your choice. Whether that be in your home, your favorite park, out for ice cream or even off on a new, fun adventure. These sessions are an hour and will give your kids enough time to warm up to us and show off who they are!
1 hour session

Maternity + Newborn
Whether your family is just beginning, or your numbers are growing, there is always an excitement brewing. As long as those 9 months seem, they go by so quickly and before you know it your family has grown by one, or even more! It is a beautiful gift to carry life and it is our joy to help you pause and capture this special time in your family’s legacy.

Waiting on baby
From that moment you find you are pregnant there is an overflow of excitement and anticipation for what’s to come. Every pregnancy is unique in it’s own way, and no matter how you look or how you feel, your body is doing something incredible. There is the gift of life growing inside and we want to celebrate that with you.
These are best done between weeks 30-34, where you are showing but are comfortable enough to move around.
New Beginnings
Your baby is finally here and sleepless nights and abundant joys are yours to be had. This time with your little one can go by so quickly and their looks changed just daily, we want to help you remember these tender moments.
These are best done within the first two weeks after baby’s arrival, where they are still snuggly little balls and sleep their days away.
$500 each / $800.00 as a combo

Pricing is for a single family. If you have extended family joining let us know and we can come up with pricing for you!
Session Rates do not include studio rental
Please understand that any availability is not guaranteed, and dates are booked on a first-come first-served basis.
A non-refundable retainer 50% is due, along with a signed contract, to secure your date and time. The remainder is due at or before the time of the session.
All prices, including session fees and any printed products, are subject to a 7.5% state sales tax.
Payments made by cash or check are preferred, but all major debit or credit cards are also accepted.
Edited photos are typically delivered within 2 weeks of your session, but this time may vary depend on what part of the season your session occurs.
You can expect to receive a minimum of 50 final photos.
Sessions which take place outside of the Dayton metro area will incur a travel fee of $0.50/mile from our home in Dayton. Half Sessions have a travel limit of 15 miles from Dayton.
There is no ordering period for printed products. You can order any product anytime after your session is delivered. Prints can be ordered via your online gallery, directly through the website. Prints typically ship within 3 business days of placing your order.
How to book:
We want your session to be as easy as it is meaningful. To book your session just follow these few simple steps and please ask questions when you have them!
1. Pick your date!
Check our availability and select your date. If you would like a weekday morning session, please send us an email!
Fill out the form and we will put together a personalized contract for you!
2. Lock it in!
To secure your date, a signed contract and retainer are required. We will send you a contract for you to review and sign via email. Our retainers are 50% of your session total. Our preferred payment methods are either a check or Venmo, and our username is @wearethebrauns. If you would prefer to pay by e-check or credit card, please let us know!
After that…
Between now and then.
We will work together to plan the perfect memory making session with your family. Feel free to reach out with any questions leading up to your session. We want this to be a fun, beautiful time for your family and ensure you receive photos that you will cherish forever!!
Delivery
Our turnaround time is about 2-3 weeks. You will receive an online gallery where you can order prints and download the high-res images directly to your phone or computer. That allows you to share them easily with family and friends and to also post them on any socials you’d like. Be sure to tag us (@wearethebrauns) so we can relive those cherished moments with you!
Your heirloom prints will arrive a few days after your gallery is delivered. These are photographers choice, additional prints of your choosing can be ordered at any time through your online gallery.
