Casie + Darrell // Top Of The Market Wedding // Dayton, OH
When it comes to personal style, I wouldn't say that I have expensive taste, but I do have a very specific taste. I'm picky about what I wear and how it fits. I'll be the first to admit that my sense of style may not be just like yours, and yours probably won't be just like mine. We don't have to agree, but I respect people who actually care. When we found out that Casie was going to be wearing a pink Vera Wang dress, both of our eyes lit up. You see, I'm not really into women's fashion much, and I don't really care about big names. Heck, I don't even know most of the big names. But I like said, I love it when people have an opinion. I love it when you can tell that some thought went into making a decision. The way I worded it on the wedding day was, "you don't accidentally choose to wear a pink Vera Wang." Casie looked absolutely stunning in her gown, but what struck me most was the fact that she made a decision. A real decision to wear something that wasn't the status quo. And she absolutely nailed it.
That sense of taste, and attention to detail went into every part of her wedding. She designed the whole thing herself, and at the reception her mom even made a comment about how picky she was about even the typeface that was used on the programs and reception signage (and if you know much about my background in graphic design, you'll know I'm a huge typography buff). It goes without saying that Casie + Darrell's wedding was amazing. Enjoy.

Katie + Jared blew us away. One of the raddest weddings ever. How do you top a dog in a bow tie and gentlemen playing cards in tuxedos? You don't.
Allie + Jacob // Columbus Wedding Photography // Scioto Reserve
I'm going to start this post off by skipping to the end. Allie + Jacob had their reception at a new venue in Columbus, the Scioto Reserve Country Club. It just opened this year, and we have to say, it's probably one of the nicest, classiest places we've been to. The interior design is very contemporary, and it's just beautiful. Another great venue to add to our "must have" list. On top of that they had Nina Banks coordinating, and she's brilliant. Receptions can get kind of crazy, but Nina was such a joy to work with and she did everything to ensure their party went off without a hitch. Mindy and I love shooting all day weddings (we don't do anything less) for the simple fact that we get to spend the whole day with our couples and their bridal parties. Allie + Jacob had one of the best sets of friends (and family) that we've had the honor to work with. Seriously, by the reception the guys were yelling "CAMERON!!!" and throwing their arms up. Honestly, kind of embarrassing, since we try to be as unseen as possible throughout the day. We had so much fun, and the entire bridal party made us feel so welcome all day long. If any of you guys are reading this, thank you.
Allie + Jacob are still away on their honeymoon to Europe, so leave them some comments for when they return!

Aimee + Ryan :: Dayton Wedding Photography
Let’s be real here. Cameron is a shoe nut. A sneaker freak. A man that loves shoes. I know, I know. (I can say, I still have way more shoes than him!) Now Converse Chuck Taylors are actually not our favorite shoes. Sure, we both own a pair, but I’d much rather wear my flip-flops, and Cameron has a mild obsession with Vans right now. BUT, I think Chucks might just be the greatest wedding shoe ever.
Ryan and his guys were kitted out with Chucks, and Ryan totally pulled off the all white.
And then there’s the pink Cadillac. If shoes aren’t a bit of an obsession for Cameron, cars most definitely are. Aimee mentioned that they’d be having a pink Caddy convertible a few weeks before the wedding, and from that moment we started brainstorming how we could use it for some great photos.
We have to give a big thanks to the bridal party for being very cooperative all day. We pushed the limits of our time, but everyone was very pleasant and you guys were all so fun to work with!
